Christine Swafford, MS, RD, CSR, LD
Living Well is dedicated to improving the lives of adults diagnosed with chronic disease in the Atlanta area by providing individualized nutrition therapy and support while developing the skills necessary to promote positive lifestyle changes
Christine Swafford is a native of St. Simons Island, GA and a Registered Dietitian with a Master of Science in Health Sciences. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition and a recognized leader in innovative, realistic, and effective nutrition education. She completed her BSFCS in Dietetics at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA and her Dietetic Internship from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. She also received her Master of Science in Health Sciences from GSU with an emphasis in Nutrition.
In addition to nutrition consulting, Christine is active in cutting-edge nutrition research, working with projects sponsored by the National Kidney Foundation, the Center for Reducing Health Disparities, Abbott Laboratories, Shire Development Inc. & DaVita Clinical Research. She has experience working with many clients in outpatient, inpatient, acute, and chronic settings.
Christine has received several leadership and value awards working with DaVita Dialysis and is a Featured Dietitian, recipe contributor, and article author on DaVita.com. She is an experienced public speaker and was honored to present at the 2010 Georgia Council of Renal Nutrition winter meeting. As a dietetic intern preceptor, she is able to coach students in becoming experts and leaders in diet education. She is an active member of the American Dietetic Association, the Greater Atlanta Dietetic Association, and the Council on Renal Nutrition. She has a passion for preventative and life-enhancing nutrition education.
